General Strategies Social Publisher
Privacy Policy
Privacy practices for the private internal social publishing application operated by General Strategies LLC.
Effective date: July 1, 2026
Last updated: August 27, 2026
1. Introduction
General Strategies LLC, referred to in this Privacy Policy as “General Strategies,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” operates General Strategies Social Publisher, referred to as the “App.”
The App is a private, internal social media publishing tool. It is used only by authorized General Strategies owners, employees, contractors, and other approved personnel. The App is not offered to the general public and does not provide public or customer self-service registration.
The App enables authorized users to create, approve, schedule, publish, and manage content for Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, and Google Business Profile locations that General Strategies owns or is authorized to manage.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, collects, uses, stores, shares, and deletes in connection with those functions.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the General Strategies Social Publisher App and its integrations with Meta and Google services.
It does not replace any broader privacy notice that may apply to the General Strategies website, employment records, customer relationships, or other General Strategies products and services.
When General Strategies manages a social media or business profile on behalf of a client, General Strategies accesses and uses the relevant account information only under the client’s authorization and applicable service agreement.
3. Information We Access or Collect
Authorized-user information
When an authorized user accesses the App or connects a platform account, we may receive or maintain:
- The user’s name.
- Business email address.
- Internal user identifier.
- User role and access level.
- Authentication and login information.
- Platform-specific account or user identifiers.
- Records of permissions granted to the App.
- Dates and times of account connections, logins, and authorization changes.
The App does not request or store users’ Facebook, Instagram, or Google passwords. Platform connections are made through the applicable platform’s OAuth or authorization process.
Facebook and Instagram information
When an authorized user connects Meta services, the App may access:
- Facebook Page names and identifiers.
- Facebook Pages the authenticated user is authorized to manage.
- Instagram professional-account names and identifiers.
- Relationships between connected Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts.
- Account-access status and granted permissions.
- OAuth access tokens and related authorization information.
- Post text, links, images, videos, captions, calls to action, and scheduling information entered into the App.
- Platform-generated post, media, or publication identifiers.
- Publication status, error messages, and technical response information needed to confirm or troubleshoot publishing.
The App is not designed to collect or use personal Facebook profiles, friend lists, private messages, customer messages, advertising audiences, payment information, or unrelated personal activity.

- Google-generated post identifiers, publication status, errors, and other technical response data needed to operate or troubleshoot the publishing feature.
The Google Business Profile authorization scope may technically permit multiple Business Profile management functions. General Strategies limits its actual access and use to identifying authorized accounts and locations and creating, managing, confirming, or troubleshooting posts and related publishing activity supported by the App.
Content submitted for publication
The App processes content selected or entered by authorized users, including:
- Written post content.

We do not use platform-derived account information for unrelated advertising, behavioral profiling, surveillance, credit decisions, data brokerage, or sale to third parties.
We do not use Google or Meta account data to train a generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning model.
5. Meta Data Commitments
Information received from Facebook or Instagram is used only to provide the account-connection, account-selection, content-publishing, scheduling, status, security, and support functions described in this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, license, or disclose Meta platform data for advertising, data-brokerage, surveillance, or unrelated commercial purposes.
Access to Meta platform data is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who require access to operate, secure, maintain, or support the App.
6. Google API and Limited Use Commitments
Google Limited Use Disclosure: General Strategies LLC’s use and transfer to any other application of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google user data is used only to provide or improve the user-facing account-connection and Google Business Profile publishing features described in this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell Google user data. We do not transfer or use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, interest-based advertising, creditworthiness determinations, lending, surveillance, or data-brokerage purposes.
Human access to Google user data is limited to situations where:
- Access is necessary to provide the App’s requested functionality.
- The authorized user has requested support or troubleshooting.
- Access is necessary to investigate a security incident, error, or suspected misuse.
- Access is necessary to comply with applicable law.
- The information has been aggregated or de-identified for legitimate internal operational purposes.
The App only manages Google Business Profile locations that General Strategies owns or has been authorized to manage.
7. How We Share Information
With Facebook, Instagram, and Google
When an authorized user submits or schedules content, the App transmits that content and the necessary instructions to the selected platform. Once content has been published, the platform’s own terms and privacy policies apply to its continued processing and display.
With service providers
We may use cloud-hosting, database, storage, security, monitoring, logging, email, or technical-support providers to operate the App.
These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to General Strategies and are not authorized to sell or independently use platform data for their own advertising or unrelated purposes.
For legal, compliance, and security purposes
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
- Protect the rights, property, accounts, or safety of General Strategies, its clients, its personnel, or others.
- Investigate fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or security incidents.
- Enforce applicable agreements and internal policies.
Business transactions
If General Strategies is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and platform requirements.
We do not sell personal information or platform data.
8. Data Storage and Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and document the App’s functions or to meet legal and contractual requirements.
OAuth tokens
OAuth access and refresh tokens are retained while the applicable platform connection remains active. Tokens are deleted, invalidated, or rendered unusable after the account is disconnected, authorization is revoked, or the information is no longer necessary.
Drafts and scheduled content
Draft posts, scheduled posts, media, destination selections, and approval records are retained until they are published, canceled, deleted by an authorized user, or no longer required for legitimate internal business purposes.
Posting and security records
Posting history, audit information, error records, and security logs may be retained as reasonably necessary for troubleshooting, account security, internal accountability, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
Google Business Profile API content
Content received from the Google Business Profile APIs and cached for application-performance purposes is stored securely and for no more than 30 calendar days. This limitation does not prevent General Strategies from retaining content it independently created, owned, or received outside the Google Business Profile APIs.
Backups
Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted or access-restricted backups until those backups are overwritten through the ordinary backup cycle. Backup copies are not restored except for disaster recovery, security, or legal purposes.
9. Security
General Strategies uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect App information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction.
Safeguards may include:
- HTTPS encryption for data in transit.
- Access restrictions based on user roles.
- Restricted access to OAuth credentials and secrets.
- Secure storage of platform tokens.
- Authentication and session controls.
- Logging and monitoring.
- Software updates and vulnerability remediation.
- Revocation of access when personnel no longer require it.
- Separation of development and production credentials where appropriate.
No internet-connected system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Authorized users must promptly report suspected unauthorized access or token exposure.
10. User Controls and Account Disconnection
An authorized user may revoke the App’s platform access through the applicable Facebook, Instagram, or Google account settings.
Authorized users may also ask the General Strategies App administrator to:
- Disconnect a platform account.
- Cancel scheduled posts.
- Delete unpublished drafts.
- Revoke stored tokens.
- Delete App data associated with their authorization.
Revoking authorization will stop future API access but may not automatically delete posts that were already published. Published content must generally be removed through the applicable Facebook Page, Instagram account, or Google Business Profile.
11. Data Deletion Requests
To request deletion of information associated with the App, email hello@generalstrategiesllc.com with the subject line “General Strategies Social Publisher Data Deletion Request.”
Include:
- Your name.
- Your business email address.
- The connected platform.
- The relevant Facebook Page, Instagram account, Google account, or Business Profile location.
- A description of the information you want deleted.
We may take reasonable steps to verify the requester’s identity and authorization before deleting information.
Following verification, General Strategies will disconnect the relevant account and delete or de-identify associated tokens and App data within 30 days, unless a shorter period is required by applicable law or platform policy. Information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of an agreement.
12. Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law and the nature of the information, an individual may have the right to request:
- Access to personal information maintained by General Strategies.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion of information.
- Restriction of certain processing.
- A copy of certain information.
- Withdrawal of authorization or consent.
Requests may be sent to hello@generalstrategiesllc.com. General Strategies may need to verify the requester’s identity and authority before completing a request.
13. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended only for authorized business users who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed to children and is not designed to collect personal information from children.
14. Third-Party Platforms
Facebook, Instagram, and Google are independent third-party platforms. General Strategies does not control how those platforms process information after content or authorization information has been transmitted to them.
Use of those services remains subject to the applicable platform’s own terms, privacy policy, business policies, developer policies, and content standards.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy suggests that General Strategies is sponsored, endorsed, or operated by Meta or Google.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in:
- App functionality.
- Platform permissions or API requirements.
- Data-handling practices.
- Security procedures.
- Applicable law.
- General Strategies operations.
The “Last Updated” date will be revised when changes are made. If a material change affects how previously collected platform data is used, General Strategies will provide appropriate notice to authorized users and obtain additional authorization when required.
